It's Hospital Week, and we want to highlight one of our healthcare heroes... Emilee Peoples, RN. There are few things the multi-skilled Emilee Peoples can’t do at Merit Health Wesley’s Birth Center. Now in her 13th year at the facility, Emilee is a key player in the provision of services to new and expectant mothers.Last year, she earned the Nursing Excellence Award for Merit Health Wesley; recently, she was selected as one of the top 10 National Award recipients for Community Health Systems, which includes Merit Health Wesley and 71 other hospitals.And while she’s grateful for such recognition, knowing she’s making a difference to those in her care is what matters most to Emilee.“A patient once told me ‘You were born to do this,’” Emilee recounted. “I think that’s the best compliment I’ve ever received, and those words still stick with me.”Congratulations, Emilee!
