>> what is remarkable, i don't know of another politician certainly not at a national level who could spend two hours discussing any issue, taking on any issue. and doing it in a substantive way, compelling way. in a thoughtful way, that is donald trump, he is running against someone who only does interviews if she likes the person that is interviewing her, if she is sitting with her running mate, if it is edited, a big difference, get the book, you are going do love it. i hoped you liked our show, see you next time on "life, liberty and levin."

trey: thank you for joining us i'm trey gowdy it's "sunday night in america," a man drove toward a church in charleston, south carolina, passing exit after exit, offering a chance to change his mind. don't do the unthinkable. but he didn't. he entered the historic church where believers did what their faith teaches, they welcomed a stranger, read the bible with him, prayed for him, he pulled out a gun and executed 9 black christians because they were black, he wanted to start a race war. i think he should get a needle in his arm for that, regardless of your view on capital punishment. i don't think that anyone thinks he should get the right to vote this november, except maybe kamala harris, she can't decide whether death row killers should vote. most voters don't know that or much else about her

harris seems to find new positions before the election, california moderate and democrat don't go in same sentence, she wants to convince people she has become a moderate. >> and you are right. i moved to california in 1989. and i came back to beltway in 2016, the conservative part of california is not very conservative, it is orange county where i lived, l.a. is left wing and san francisco is nuts, she is a san francisco democrat, a radical san francisco democrat, team trump saying a dangerous san francisco liberal, she is not a liberal. san francisco politics are wild and out of control, you have to go left of left of left. that is the milieu in which she grew up, she ran against the death penalty, that is what she ran for to be san francisco district attorney, i think if the legacy media puts any attention on what

6:09 pm

the democrat party? >> it is a real situation for the democrats if they do not know what to do, i believe kamala harris will be most anti-israel, maybe first anti-israel president we've ever had if she wins, i point out on interview she said 4 times, we have to get a deal, we must get a deal. it seems to me, if the timing is correct, on reports out of israel, the hostages were executed either thursday or friday, hamas should get consequences as should our allies who shelter them, that we have to begin to be serious with iran, iran is funding these killers, one of those 6 who were executed, was hersh pollen, he was 23 years old, a wonderful young man to be a cold blooded killer of someone who was that wonderful of a human being.

6:10 pm

6:14 pm

g g.o.p. do between now and when votes starts to hold the house? >> well, i think republicans hold the advantage on the issues if they go out and continue to talk about the economy, inflation, the border, safety, security, they did gin their favor, i will give the democrats credit because i think they are better at getting out the vote, that is what scares me, if the g.o.p. will go out and do some things, they better figure out how to play by rules, republicans better figure out how to get out the vote, this is not good enough to just be right on the issues, you also have to be able to get the people out to vote. the world is r is -- run by those who show up, republicans better figure it out. trey: does not hurt for voters to know where kamala harris stands on the issues, they should 13 some time talking about her liberal

6:22 pm

i.c.e. who would enforce our immigration laws. >> that is the idea. no one would enforce them. it would carry over. from last three and a half years enforcing them at lowest level, you show the clippings and her old statements that is the real kamala harris, this administration's three and a half years shows what they intend to continue doing, they don't make an effort to okay which remarkable, they won't arrest most serious criminals because they don't want to do anything to deter illegal immigrants from coming in they support sanctuary cities that is mind-blowing but i have that not waiverred from that even with the bad politics, they support policies was not deporting anyone, they changed rhetoric a little. but policies by and large remain the same.

6:23 pm

trey: the new kamala harris arguing with old kamala harris. >> >> i believe there should be consequence we have laws that have to be followed and enforced. that address and deal with people who cross our border illegally. and there should be consequences, let's be clear in this race, i am the only person who has prosecuted, trans national criminal organization. >> she mentioned consequences and she looks to be clear, let's be clear there, have been consequences people have been raped, probed, assaulted and robbed and assaulted and murdered, some democrats want to pay tuition, provide housing and provide a voting card, what consequences are she talking about? >> there are none, you hit the nail on the head, the consequences are borne by american people and primarily middle class, they always talk about how they want to help, but they pay for it with overcrowding

6:24 pm

schools and lack of access to medical care, interesting she talks about she was worked in a border state, a tough prosecutor, let's look at this, the great thing about this election, we have a three and a half year track record to compare to donald trump's track record, what does she did with that experience, did she enforce the laws? did she make it tough for drug cartels and human traffickers? it has been the opposite. >> i'll lit you in on a secret, real prosecutors create sanctuaries, for innocent citizens, innocent american citizens, not sanctuaries for criminals or those who cross the border without permission, a sanctuary should be for people who follow the law not for people who break it jonathan fahey thank you for your service to our country and thank you for joining us

6:34 pm

cases went on to commit additional crimes, she was not helping people who were clean trying to do good, there were a lot of people getting bailed out who proved they were hardened criminals with additional harm committed afterwards, she called for defunding the police, she wants to lock at reimaging -- look at reimaging police, and compared i.c.e. to the kkk that list goes on for people who want prosecutors who prosecute, and you know as retalk about the last -- we talked about last conversation they want a democrat attorney general more like the robert jackson approach, where justice department is following facts, as opposed to a target on a particular person and make up a crime. this is not the type of attorney general or district attorney the type of person we want in charge of rule of law, it impacts laws as well, that make our streets

less safe. trey: you know lee, i wonder if she has donated to any victim funds or funds that provide mental health or counseling for victims of crime. i would be interested to hear her asked that. when trump won in 2016, i can't could of a single political rivalry prosecute the. how do we get out of this cycle of lawfare that we're in, he did not engage in it, the narrative is he would be rhsecretbution and revenge. >> trey, an important point for those who are talking about what it would be like to have a trump administration, we already had 4 years of a trump administration, everything that you are saying that donald trump would do if elected president, not only

6:36 pm

did that not happen, when president trump was in white house for 4 years it is happening right now as we live through the biden-harris administration. the threats is not that trump will come in and weaponize the justice system, the threat for the democrats is they are losing the power and ability to weaponize the justice system against their political opponents, clear as day to the rest of us what is the truths facts, as we look at what the consequences are as americans go to the polls between now and november 5. trey: lee zeldin from the great state of new york, my best to your family, hope to see you soon thank you for joining us on a sunday night. >> thanks trey. trey: up next, investigation to attempted murder of donald trump continues to raise questions. congresswoman laura lee is seeking answers and she is next.
